GRADES
Graded assignments will be sent home in students’ Tuesday folders. Many assignments will be completed in our notebooks at school and will not be sent home; however, a rubric with your child’s grade will be sent home to keep you aware of your child’s performance. If you have a question about a particular grade, please keep the rubric and email me, or call me to set up a conference so that you can see your child’s work.
Grades below a 70% are considered unsatisfactory. These will be sent home in students’ Tuesday folders and need to be signed and returned the following day. Please go over these assignments with your child. When the assignment is returned to school, I will reteach the content to your student and reassess them. The sooner these assignments are returned, the sooner I am able to help your child learn the content, so your quickness is much appreciated.
Progress reports will be sent home in Tuesday folders approximately every three weeks (exact dates will be printed on monthly school calendars). These will have students' grades for the 9 weeks in each subject area. Please sign and return these the following day.
Report cards will be sent home 4 times a year, approximately every 9 weeks. You may keep the page with your child’s grades, but please sign and return the cover page in the envelope the following day.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s grades at any point during the school year, please contact me. I’d be happy to go over assignments or rubrics with you.
